Not Just Another Pedal! The Chopper will challenge your imagination and creativity! Unlike the myriad of "me too" effects out there, the Chopper will produce TOTALLY ORIGINAL sounds never heard before from a foot pedal! The Chopper will inspire you to create music as well providing you with a powerful tool to enhance favorite tunes. The output signal from the Chopper may be mono or stereo, but is infinitely more interesting in stereo. In stereo, the effect can be panned or "chopped" from one channel to another and combined in phase or out of phase in various ways to produce an infinite number of captivating sounds. Merely describing it will not do it justice. You have to hear it to believe it!

In addition to astoundingly new effects, the Chopper will produce stellar versions of traditional effects such as tremolo, auto pan and Leslie (rotating cabinet) effects, but all with a key difference- the frequency of the effects can be varied with the on-board pedal unit. No additional expression pedal is needed. No other pedal can do it all. Worldwide patents pending on our proprietary engineering.

The Carl Martin Crunch Drive is a 9V-battery-powered pedal designed to emulate that "hard to get" crunchy blues tone from a good tube amp.

The Attack (mid) and Edge (treble) controls give access to a variety of flavours within this type of distortion style without compromising sonic quality.

If subtle crunch is your thing, you'll find plenty of cool chord and light solo options here which - regardless of EQ - always sound crisp and lively perfect for jangly chords and light blues soloing.

The Carl Martin Crunch Drive is true baypass and features an AC adapter jack.

Carl Martin 3 Band Parametric Pre-Amp has been specially developed for musicians who play ACOUSTIC GUITAR, VIOLIN, ACCORDIAN, DOUBLE BASS, etc.

These musicians often use combo amps and do not find the use of 19" rack equipment very practical. Experience has shown us that these instruments often require a high quality EQ and balanced line driver. We have integrated those features into a handy stomp box format.

For maximum flexibility, we found it necessary to create a high quality 3 band semi-parametric EQ.

Carl Martin 3 Band Parametric Pre-Amp works equally well for tweaking the sound of electric guitars, basses and other electronic instruments as well as for direct studio recordings.

The 3 Band Parametric Pre-Amp has a built in regulated (+-12V) power supply which enables us to design circuitry of the highest quality with maximum headroom.

Carl Martin Chorus xII is a dual stereo chorus foot pedal. Designed by Canadian electronics wizard Daniel Van Kranendonk, the unit is the result of five years of careful research and development. It has two identical but independent sets of speed and depth controls. Each "chorus" has an LED indicator that lights up when in use and also flashes an indication of the speed setting.

The Chorus xII has a stereo output via two quarter inch jacks. The "on" switch allows you to engage or bypass the chorus. The "select" switch allows you to switch between the two chorus settings mid song or mid set without having to get down on your knees alter the controls.

The Carl Martin Chorus xII is the perfect choice for guitar, bass or keyboards. It is unbelievably rich in sound, totally quiet, and most important of all, does not change the basic sound. The Carl Martin Chorus xII has a built in, regulated (+-12V) power supply which enables us to design circuitry of the highest quality with maximum headroom.

Carl Martin Hot Drive'n Boost has been carefully designed to imitate the sound of a good old-fashioned distording Tube-Amp. The Hot Drive'n Boost is the perfect choice for that crunchy blues tone, with plenty left over for a great hard rock tone as well. With the BOOST feature the Hot Drive'n Boost is a "TWO IN ONE" pedal. That allows you to get that extra "kick" (up to 20db) for solos to really stand out. The Hot Drive'n Boost has a built in regulated (+-12V) power supply. This enables us to design circuitry of the highest quality with maximum headroom. The low output impedance insures a lo noise connection, and gives improved working conditions for the guitar amp.

The Carl Martin PlexiTone, is as the name might indicate an unusual high gain three step rocket of an overdrive. The PlexiTone offers two step overdrive, the crunch channel and the high gain channel, on top of that it gives you an up to 20dB clean boost channel. The crunch channel goes from subtle overdrive to hard rock gain stage, the high gain channel goes from rock gain stages to absolutely meltdown, with loads of gain and low end, and all in a tone that brings the memory back to the early 80's high gain guitar hero's. The PlexiTone has as most Carl Martin pedals a built in regulated (+-12V) power supply, to secure the necessary headroom that gives you the great tone. Read Full...

Carl Martin Compressor/Limiter has been specially developed to incorporate the same features and sonic clarity found in high quality professional studio compressors. To achieve this we incorporated a variable threshold, -variable compression ratio, -variable attack and release controls and of course, a gain level.

Threshold: Working anti clockwise, determines how much of the signal will be compressed. This is also dependent on how much signal is fed from the instrument.

Comp: Working clockwise, determines how much compression is applied to the signal allowed by the threshold setting.

Resp: Working clockwise, determines the attack/release times, going from slow to fast. In general, if you want to hear the compressor working with a crisp attack you should use slow times. If you require just a silent limiting you should use fast times.

Gain: Working clockwise, sets the overall gain.

Busy: Indicates the amount of compression being applied, even in bypass mode. The brighter it gets, the more compression is being applied.

The anniversary Hot Drive’n Boost MK3, featuring a complete new overdrive design that gives a even more authentic “tube” simulating overdrive than the original HDB, which is know to be one of the best. The new HDB MK3 sound like a tweaked up quality tube amp, and on contrary nearly every other overdrive pedal does it not change the original tone, has no midrange pronouncement, no low end cut of, no high end cut of, all that gives a tone of a clear brilliant tube drive of it’s own. FEATURING: Built in mains power supply, Two in on functions (overdrive & boost), and Blue high bright LED. With the BOOST feature the Hot Drive'n Boost MK3 is a "TWO IN ONE" pedal. The Carl Martin Combinator 2 was designed and developed in response to many requests from guitar players who use lots of effects pedals, but are frustrated by having to press several footswitches in order to turn multiple pedals on and off.

The Combinator 2 is a non-midi programmable effects switching system that handles up to eight pedals. Each pedal is connected to one of eight individual effects loops (two with stereo returns), and then assigned to one or more of 18 groups. Pushing the program switch for a group simultaneously engages all of the pedals assigned to it. So if, say, you have a fuzz, a wah, and a chorus assigned to program switch 1, pressing that switch will turn them all on or off.

http://guitareffek.blogspot.com/Have you ever wanted two distinctly different vintage ‘wah’ sounds at your feet? Perhaps you wished for a brighter wah for rhythm work and a deeper, darker wah for leads; and the ability to switch back and forth quickly? Well, Carl Martin has been busy creating your wish; the 2 Wah. This familiar looking, retro-styled pedal, has an all-metal casing with a non-slip foot pad. It can be powered by 9v battery, but we always recommend using a regulated power supply (like the Carl Martin Big John Power Supply) for maximum headroom and effect. Input is on the right and output on the left (remember your Wah should be the first pedal in your chain), and the standard effect on-off by stepping on the front of the rocker to engage the true bypass on-off switch. There are two three-way mode switches on the front of the 2 Wah marked Low (red LED) and High (green LED). These are connected to an on-off switch at the back of the pedal (step on back of rocker to engage this switch). The three low and the three high settings are recreations of six of the most popular vintage wah sounds since the beginning of wah. The Attack knob allows you to fine-tune exactly how you want the rocker to modulate your guitar signal. Six different wah sounds, from Hendrix to Trower to Earth Wind & Fire and beyond, all in one pedal. Read Full...

The Carl Martin Rock Bug is an Amp/Speaker Simulator and Headphone rehearsal unit that operates on a single 9v battery. Although this type of accessory is not new, we believe there is nothing on the market that feels as real or sounds as realistic as the Rock Bug! You simply get the feeling that you are playing through a good tube amp. Just plug your guitar (with or without pedals) into the unbalanced ¼” input, plug your favourite headphones into the unbalanced ¼” output and off you go! Adjust your instruments’ volume with the Guitar knob, select an open cabinet or closed cabinet simulation with the mini-toggle switch, and wail away through the privacy of your headphones. If you like, use the AUX stereo inputs and add an MP3, CD or DAT player to the mix; adjust the Master volume for your music, blend in your guitar sounds with the Guitar volume, and either play along with your favourite cd’s or add a personal touch to your pre-recorded backing tracks. Utilizing the balanced XLR output, you can connect your Rock Bug to a mixing console for recording, solo gigs accompanying the pre-recorded music with your live guitar, or as a DI for live performance when you are packing light, or your amp goes down. You might not think an Amp-Speaker Simulator is new, but with all these features, the Rock Bug is the little Danish-Swiss Army Knife that belongs in the pocket of every guitar-players gig-bag!

These days it seems everybody has a signature pedal, guitar or amp. So many of them are massed produced, often off-shore, with little or no input from the Artist. Such is not the case with our Signature Series Pedals! Each Artist has had input in every aspect of the design of the pedal. They knew exactly how they wanted the pedals to sound and exactly how they wanted them to look. The prototypes were sent back and forth several times until the pedals were right. Gary and Paul took the prototypes on the road with them confirming that the pedals performed and sounded exactly as they expected. Additionally, each pedal comes with a note from the Artist on how they use and set the pedal. So, here they are, the HBE Signature Series! Read Full...

The Voodoo-Bass is so named because it adds a gutsier bass equalisation to the Voodoo-1 distortion sound. This enables players who favour single coil pickups to reproduce quite effortlessly the rounded, bluesy sound of classic pickups such as the Gibson P90. The comprehensive Gain and Tone variation provided by the Voodoo-Bass enable a very wide range of distortion sounds to be created from the compressed, just clipped sustain of traditional Chicago Blue to the sweet scream of full tube overload. This guitar effects pedal also works very well with Bass Guitar as an increasing number of bass player are rediscovering the joys of adding both compression and distortion to their sound.
Electronically the Voodoo-Bass and Voodoo-1 each share all the same features but the equalisation sections have been altered to provide a completely different set of optimised tone response .

The Voodoo-1 has been designed and optimised to suit a wide range of pickups. It is the best choice for humbucking pickups and produces bright clear tone colours that will make solos stand out without sounding too thin. Using single coil pickups and 4 x 12 cabinets gives the addition body with bite that is necessary to cut through. The Voodoo-1, of course is equally happy with combos at low volume and make these small amps sound like big stacks. The distortion produced feels particularly tube like in operation and the Voodoo-1 slips into distortion with silky smoothness and compression characteristics usually only associated with vintage classic tube amplifiers The volume control of the guitar is very effective in controlling the amount of distortion and the guitar cleans up to it's original tone very easily The Tone control is of advanced design and has been optimised to compliment various pickup types. The Dual Band Metalloid brings parallel path processing and recording studio-mixing quality to our range of distortion pedals. It is in fact two separate distortion sections that are driven by internal splitter circuitry and then mixed back together. The Low and High Band distortion circuits have been carefully optimised to now give much improved individual control of the range of notes used. The range of sounds available is truly immense as varying amounts of Distortion and EQ can be applied to each band and then mixed together. This is a technique we used in the studio with Jimi to get the required tone. Using various pedals in series or equalisation will not accomplish this as processing is applied to the whole frequency range. This is a much more sophisticated processing technique that brings welcome control to live performance situations where two guitar sounds are seamlessly required and pedal stomping is not a musical or performance option. The Low Band sound controlling bass string riffs and the High Band sound set for solo work as you progress up the neck. It is has been designed not just for Hard Rock or Heavy Metal but is equally at home for Finger Pickin Slide Blues, Rebel Country Styles and Resonator guitars all which require different tones for the bass strings and solo riffs. The Voodoo-Vibe+ is the latest evolution of the Univibe as used by Jimi Hendrix and Robin Trower. The Voodoo-Vibe+ will faithfully reproduce all the old retro sounds and incorporates the modifications I personally developed for Jimi. The Supervibe was my next evolution of the Univibe and many leading performers including Stevie Ray Vaughan and Robin Trower used this unit. The Voodoo-Vibe followed the Supervibe and is accepted as the industry leader and used by many top performers. The Voodoo-Vibe+ also has a Tremolo circuit plus the usual Chorus and Vibrato functions and the control of the sound parameters has been greatly expanded. The addition of Pulse Square waveforms to the normal Classic waveforms is a valuable and useful addition to the sweep capabilities. The Speed of the sweep generator has also been expanded together with the Symmetry Range and these features greatly increase the options of producing many new and unheard effects and the Voodoo-Vibe+ is a modern and worthy successor to our very successful Voodoo-Vibe. The art of analogue processing has moved forward. Read Full...

But we all know that most of us only use the clean channel and load it up with our stomp pedals to get the distortion tone we need. This is why the Dolphin preamp, input impedance and speaker was especially designed to best complement with your favourite stomp boxes.
