This pedal is a steal for something made this sturdy with a true bypass. Reviews of other pedal brands (BOSS in particular) always mention being “built like a tanks” and similar language, but this thing is built like the black box of an airplane. I’d expect it to survive a nuclear war.
The sound? It sounds like a Big Muff. I’m sure some people can tell the difference, but I’m not one of them. Even though I love the sound, people not familiar with the Big Muff or even with fuzz pedals in general should try this (or the full size muff) at a guitar store before blindly ordering one over the Internet. It is not an overdrive, not a distortion pedal. It is a fuzz, and a very particular fuzz at that. There are plenty of videos on youtube that demonstrate what a Big Muff sounds like. You either love that sound, or hate it.
